St Luke’s Church Hall and COVID-19 Security standards

Following the Prime Minister’s announcement on 4 January (National lockdown: Stay at Home), St Luke’s Church Hall is currently closed for most purpose.  Its use for designated support groups may continue.  You can find relevant documentation here, including the Government’s detailed guidance on the safe use of multi-purpose community hall facilities, updated on 5th January, and our own risk assessment. Users interested in future use of the Hall, for example from mid-February, should carry out their own risk assessment (guidance here). Our terms and conditions of hire have been extended to meet COVID-19 requirements and restrictions. These must be signed (online).

The 2m social distance will be followed, restricting the capacity to 28 persons in the main hall and 12 in the small hall. The kitchen and committee room are closed.  Hot water for drinks is available in the kitchenette (bring your own mugs).  These restrictions will have a direct effect on users. We will consider potential hirers individually to make sure that their activity complies with the government guidelines.
